LoupeBird is a movable, real-time analysis lens for artists. Float it over any image on your screen and study luminosity, saturation, value, temperature, and hue without changing the original artwork.

Getting started
From launch to looking in three steps.
Allow Screen Recording
On first launch, macOS asks for permission so LoupeBird can see the pixels beneath its lens. If macOS asks you to quit the app after granting access, reopen it.
Place the lens
Drag the title bar to move LoupeBird over the artwork you want to study. Resize it from any edge or corner.
Choose a view
Select a mode in the toolbar. Click the active mode again to return to Original, then click it once more to restore that analysis.

Quick answers when something looks wrong.
The lens is not showing a live image
Open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen & System Audio Recording and make sure LoupeBird is enabled. Quit and reopen LoupeBird after changing the permission.
The image is being held
Move the entire LoupeBird window onto one display. When the lens crosses between two displays, it holds the last complete frame until it is fully on either screen.
I want to compare a mode with the original
Click the selected mode a second time to return to Original, or turn on Compare for a draggable split view.
I cannot click the artwork beneath the lens
The lens itself passes clicks through to the app below it. The title bar, toolbar, resize edge, and active Compare divider remain interactive.
Your screen stays on your Mac.
LoupeBird processes screen pixels locally. It has no accounts, analytics, advertising, or tracking, and it does not send your images to Eric Doggett or anyone else.
