Privacy Notice

Effective July 28, 2026

HueBird collects the information needed to run your account, preserve your saved work, process subscriptions, improve the product, and keep the service secure. HueBird does not collect or store your full payment-card details.

1. Information HueBird collects

Account and contact information

This may include your email address, account label, preview code, sign-in and session records, trial and access dates, and the painting medium you select when requesting access.

Saved work and settings

HueBird stores the Paint Drawer selections, preferences, palettes, recipes, recipe names, notes, and related catalog information that you save.

Feedback and support

If you send feedback, HueBird receives your message, category, optional reply email, and relevant context such as the current page, app build, browser information, selected-paint count, and current recipe.

Billing information

Paddle or Apple collects and processes payment details, depending on where you subscribe. HueBird receives identifiers and status information needed to connect a transaction and subscription to the correct HueBird account. HueBird does not receive or store your full card number.

Usage, advertising, and technical information

HueBird may record product actions, page visits, referral and campaign information, errors, IP address, and browser or device information. Product analytics use a pseudonymous account identifier and do not receive the account label, account email address, or preview code. HueBird's pages also use the Meta Pixel to measure page visits and preview requests.

2. Images

The ordinary image color picker processes the image locally in your browser and does not upload it to HueBird. If you choose the optional printed-label OCR feature, the selected image may be sent to HueBird temporarily for processing. HueBird does not intentionally retain the uploaded image after that request is processed.

3. How information is used

HueBird uses information to:

  • create and authenticate accounts;
  • provide matching, saved palettes, recipes, and account preferences;
  • start trials and determine whether access is full or read-only;
  • connect subscriptions and cancellations to the correct account;
  • send sign-in links, service messages, and replies to support requests;
  • understand product use and advertising performance;
  • detect abuse, protect accounts, troubleshoot errors, and maintain the service; and
  • meet legal, tax, accounting, and contractual obligations.

4. Cookies and browser storage

HueBird uses a secure, HTTP-only session cookie to keep verified customers signed in. The browser may also store a preview code, onboarding status, and referral or campaign information so those features work between visits. Meta and other third-party services may set or read their own cookies or similar technologies under their own policies.

You can clear cookies and local storage in your browser. Doing so may sign you out or remove locally remembered settings.

5. Service providers

HueBird shares information only as needed with providers that help operate the service, including:

  • Paddle, the merchant of record for website checkout, payments, taxes, receipts, subscriptions, cancellations, and payment support;
  • Apple, for Sign in with Apple and App Store subscriptions purchased in the iPhone app;
  • Render, for application hosting and database storage;
  • Resend, for sign-in, preview, and support email delivery;
  • PostHog, for product analytics and error monitoring; and
  • Meta, for advertising measurement through the Meta Pixel.

HueBird may also disclose information when required by law, to protect people or the service, or as part of a business transfer. HueBird does not sell your saved palettes or recipes.

6. Retention

HueBird keeps account and saved-work information while your account exists and as reasonably needed to operate the service. Security, support, billing, and transaction records may be kept longer when necessary for fraud prevention, disputes, accounting, or legal obligations. Paddle and Apple retain payment records under their own policies.

7. Your choices and requests

You may delete your HueBird account from the Account screen in the iPhone app or ask to access, correct, or delete personal information by emailing support@huebird.art. HueBird may need to verify the request. Account deletion removes saved studio work and sign-in information; limited records may be retained where required for security, legal, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, or payment obligations.

You can use browser controls to limit cookies or tracking. Those controls may affect sign-in or other features.

8. Security

HueBird uses access controls, signed links, secure cookies, encrypted connections, and limited provider access intended to protect customer information. No internet service can promise absolute security, so please protect your sign-in links and preview codes and contact us if you suspect unauthorized access.

9. Children

HueBird is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. A parent or guardian who believes a child provided information may contact us to request its removal.

10. International processing and legal rights

HueBird and its providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Privacy rights vary by location. This notice does not limit rights that applicable law gives you.

11. Changes and contact

We may update this notice when the service or its providers change. The current version and effective date will remain posted here. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to support@huebird.art.
