1. What HueBird provides

HueBird is a web and iPhone application that creates suggested paint-mixing recipes from measured paint data and the paints selected in your Paint Drawer. It also lets you save palettes, recipes, notes, and preferences.

Paint appearance varies with the surface, lighting, application, batch, measuring tools, drying, and other physical conditions. HueBird recipes are practical estimates, not a guarantee of an exact physical result. Test a small amount before committing valuable materials or finished work, and follow each paint manufacturer's safety instructions.

2. Accounts and the free trial

You must provide accurate information and protect your sign-in links and preview codes. You are responsible for activity performed through your account.

Eligible new customers receive one 14-day trial without entering a payment card. The trial does not automatically start again if you request another code or sign-in link. When trial or paid access ends, you may continue to sign in and view saved palettes and recipes, but matching, editing, and saving are disabled until paid access resumes.

3. Subscriptions and payment

On the HueBird website, HueBird offers a monthly subscription for $6 USD and a yearly subscription for $65 USD. App Store prices are shown in the iPhone app before purchase and may vary by country or currency. Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. Taxes, currency conversions, and the final amount charged are shown before purchase.

Website purchases are processed by Paddle, HueBird's merchant of record. Purchases made in the iPhone app are processed by Apple under the Apple Media Services terms. The terms shown by the applicable provider also apply to your purchase. HueBird does not collect or store your full payment-card details.

4. Cancellation and refunds

You may cancel through the billing provider you used at any time. Cancellation prevents the next renewal; paid access normally continues through the end of the billing period you already purchased. See the Cancellation Policy.

Payments are generally non-refundable except where applicable law or the applicable billing provider's policies require otherwise. See the Refund Policy.

5. Acceptable use

You may use HueBird for your own artistic, educational, and commercial creative work. You may not:

• break the law or infringe another person's rights;
• interfere with HueBird's operation, security, or other customers;
• attempt to bypass access controls or obtain another customer's data;
• copy, scrape, extract, sell, or redistribute HueBird's private measured catalog or the service itself; or
• use automated requests in a way that disrupts the service.

6. Your saved work

You keep your rights in the names, notes, images, and other material you submit. You give HueBird permission to process that material only as needed to provide, secure, support, and improve the service. You are responsible for making sure you have the right to submit it.

7. HueBird materials and trademarks

HueBird's software, design, text, branding, measured data, and private catalog are protected by intellectual-property laws. These terms do not transfer ownership of them to you.

HueBird is independent and is not sponsored, endorsed, or operated by Golden Artist Colors or any other paint manufacturer. Manufacturer and product names are used only to identify compatible paints; all related trademarks belong to their respective owners.

8. Third-party services and links

HueBird depends on service providers including Paddle and Apple for payments and may link to outside stores or websites. Those services have their own terms and privacy practices. Some paint-shopping links may be affiliate links, which means HueBird may earn a commission without changing your price.

9. Availability and changes

HueBird may add, change, or remove features and supported paints. We work to keep the service available and saved work safe, but uninterrupted or error-free operation is not guaranteed. We may suspend access when reasonably necessary for security, maintenance, legal compliance, or misuse.

10. Disclaimers and responsibility

To the extent permitted by law, HueBird is provided “as is” and without implied warranties. HueBird is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, wasted materials, or differences between an on-screen target and a physical paint result. Nothing in these terms limits rights or liability that applicable law does not allow us to limit.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when the service or legal requirements change. The current version and effective date will remain posted here. If a material change affects an active paid subscription, we will provide reasonable notice where required.
